About
Caroline Farah is the founder and Director of The Spirit of Touch. Caroline has a long-standing interest in healing and natural therapies: she has been a student of yoga since 1991, a student of Zen Shiatsu since 1998 and a student of Reiki since 2011. In 2004 she decided to leave her position as an economist at the World Bank in Washington DC and pursue full-time study in Zen Shiatsu. She studied initially at the Ohashi Institute in New York and Maryland to the Advanced level with Hazel Chung and Wataru Ohashi-sensei, a student of Zen Shiatsu founder Shizuto Masunaga-sensei. Upon returning to Australia, she completed Diplomas in Zen Shiatsu and Ki Yoga at the Zen Renaissance Healing Centre in Sydney with Jack Marshall and continues to study under her mentor Linden Brooks. Caroline is an accredited Reiki practitioner and is studying the Seven-level Reiki System with Dez Dalton. Caroline continues to refine her yoga practice with Dianne Black at Yogalight in Randwick. Caroline recommends Zen Facial by Fumi Yamamoto for those interested in healing beauty.
Caroline now devotes herself full-time to natural healing modalities, and is committed to a process of continual learning in her field. She offers advice on wholefoods as medicine and regularly publishes case studies and articles about Zen Shiatsu and yoga.
Caroline is a full member of the Shiatsu Therapy Association of Australia, has a current Senior First Aid Certificate with St John Ambulance and is fully insured for public liability with OAMPS.
Caroline is very grateful to Alexander Williams of Thermal Exposure for web design and mastery as well as Tania Browitt for the good photographs on the site.
